Linked me up to this awesome wee Lassie called Jessica who does daily affirmations into the mirror!!
Wow! I could totally learn a thing or two from her.

I have decided that for a week, no matter how much it embarrasses me I will do Daily Positive affirmations every day in the mirror and I will try to be as animated as Jessica!! :D

This will be my wee project for the next week because finding good things about myself is something I find really difficult. I find it even harder to say positive things about myself and my life out loud.

Ok… I’m going for it!! :D

Wish me luck!!

xxLisa

Haha..I wonder who taught her that.. They have set her up for life. Though If she was as hyper all the time I’m not sure I could handle that!!!

Love it. We need to get all kids doing this from the time they are little. Maybe we could help them grow up to be well adjusted confident adults ;) We seem so invincible at that age. What happens?

That definitely made me smile. Especially the I can do anything good part. The best! Thanks for sharing!

I liked that bit too! I’m sure the world would mostly a happy place if we got our children to be so self positive.
I think life happens, which sounds like a cliché I know. I think when you are a child you are fairly protected (normally) from a lot of horrible things.. Though, I think we can teach our children to deal with anything bad that comes their way. I was reading a child psychology book which said something like ‘It’s not what happens to a child that messes them up it’s the way it’s dealt with’ (Paraphrasing)…. Just that no one is ever truly broken if we know ways of repairing ourselves I suppose.

I really believe that. Even in my own family (where we pretty much had the same experiences mildly tweaked) some of us are functioning and well adjusted, and others of us are not so much.

If you internalize what others have done to you and make them personal, I think you have a much harder time getting over them. If you think, gosh that was a crappy thing that just happened, but it wasn’t my fault. Let me see what I can learn from it… then you are much better off.

I think so too. It’s just getting to the stage where you can do that. Perhaps some people are born with an innate ability to externalize and learn but I think for the majority of us it’s something we pick up as we go along.
Totally though..learning from the crappy things in our lives is one of the best things we can do in that situation. You can’t change the past but you can learn from it. Why you hear people saying ‘I wouldn’t change anything’ or ‘what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger’ ..that sort of thing..

Haha, shes so cute! With the kind of confidence, which comes with little experience but so much innocence and freshness.

      Right! :D
I think if you want to boost your happiness you could do worse than hanging out with that kid for like.. hmm 10 mins! :D
Yeah, she totally believes everything she is saying which is great and she is so enthusiastic about it!!
      haha..

How cute! What a good idea to start it so young. Imagine how positive she will be when she gets older. Kat :)
